I was searching for a way to transfer Google SketchUp models into Maya and I stumbled across a plugin called IDX Renditioner. It's a photorealistic renderer for SketchUp and they offer a free version that outputs up to 640x480. Why not, right? I downloaded it and ran some test renders on a handful of Emma models.
They look pretty good, I think - it's definitely an improvement over SketchUp's standard render. I'm trying to decide if faster rendering time and larger images are worth buying the full version of the plugin.
